Peace and love theme was in the air at the time I was expecting my little angel. After a period of my husband going to the army. I thought of a good idea to plan a baby shower for my angel at the time when n his dad arrived. If you are looking forward to hold a peace and love themed party here are some of the ideas you could include in your event
My card reflected the peace and love theme as on the front part of the invitation were peace and love signs printed, the card was completely white in color being a sign of peace, it clearly spoke the theme to my guests. The peace and love pictures on the inside part off the card were yellow in color inclusive were smiley faces. It was summer so I felt comfortable enough to instruct my guests to come dressed in pure white clothes.
I wanted to maintain my peace and love theme, I hanged a white banner at the entrance of the compound and on it were wordings that stated “celebrating love and piece” the banner meant a lot to me as I was expecting female twins and had decided to name them love and peace .Along the highway to the party area were black and white balloons hanged everywhere .The black and white balloons were glowing in a manner to suggest that it was time for moments of peace and love to be spread everywhere.
In the room were peace and love stickers everywhere and at the food and drinks section hanged was a big red heart to symbolize love.
Food and drinks
What concerns food, we went with sugary easy treats like mini fruit pizzas, peach cobbler shooters, pinwheels and oreo truffles. Drinks included soda, grape juice, peach juice and fresh lemonade. The cake was simply designed in a round shape with images of my two little princesses at the center. On it were filled with white and black icing.
Games and activities
Some of the activities included some shaking and dancing where the mom-to-be was assigned ten minutes ion stage. This was a fun and healthy activity as she was able to move despite her big belly. Other activities that came along included guests guessing the mom’s belly circumference by cutting colored yarn to the size they believed would fit around her.
A book was also available where guests wrote congrats and advice for the parents-to-be to read. Additionally for the kids there was a face painting stand and all of them painted in funny styles and colors which amazed young toddlers at the party.
Some of the favors guests went home with included water bottles having their names on each. White and black chocolates were also served as deserts on their way out inclusive of chocolate and vanilla ice cream flavors.
