I am not so much into parties and that sort of thing, but my daughter is, and more importantly my wife is so much into them as well. Last month was my daughter’s eighth birthday, and two months to the day she came and told me that she wanted a Katy Perry birthday party. As you might have already guessed-I am frankly bereft of birthday party ideas for girls-I asked my wife to delve into making sure it happens, not that it matters anyway. I am the finance chap; I hope you get the drill.
As you may be aware a Katy Perry bash isn't something that any Tom, Dick and Harry can organize, but from the invitations my wife send out I can tell you that she was more than up for the task. She designed invitation cards with the beautiful frame of Katy Perry smiling to my daughter to boot. The choice of color was also the best I had seen in a long time, and it sure showed.
My wife and I-I am just adding my title for completeness’ sake-ensured that there were pretty props that matched the Katy Perry theme insofar as color is concerned for all our guests. It was actually my daughter’s idea that at some point of the party all the female guests should be dressed as Katy Perry appears in one of her music videos. The choice of color highly accentuated the theme, and I really couldn’t have asked for more.
Food and drinks
As you might know, whenever there is a big crowd of people attending a function there is always a challenge that arises in the kind of meals to be cooked. There are people who have allergies to eggs milk, fat and that kind of thing. We thus decided to work around a variety of common foods and candy, and drinks that no one could turn down: fruit drinks. In essence we worked around fruits, and boy it worked like you can never imagine. It wouldn’t have gone better than that if you ask me.
Games and activities
As you might have already guessed, the activities centered on dancing to the music of the lady that had in all probability given us the theme or better still identity of the birthday party. My daughter had done a rendition of one of Katy Perry’s songs and boy it was amazing hearing her sing. She had never looked so beautiful and so adorable. There was also hide and seek in the compound. My daughter was so happy when it was all said and done, which by extension means I was elated as well.
Over time I have come to the realization that party favors are things which need to be taken seriously because they more or less determine whether the people come back the next time or not. It was actually for that reason that I decided to give all the invitees-or attendees if you will-a free copy of one of Katy Perry’s music videos.
